National Elk Refuge Survey, Teton County, Wyoming

This project was conducted for the US Fish and Wildlife Service on the National Elk Refuge in Teton County, Wyoming and funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The cultural resources survey was conducted in response to construction of approximately 52 miles of subsurface pipes to irrigate 5,000 acres of refuge land. Eighteen historic and 11 prehistoric sites were recorded during the survey. The sites ranged from homestead remains to prehistoric lithic scatters.
