Since 2012, Cannon Heritage has conducted two phases of cultural resource mitigation for a land exchange between Ensign Ranches of Utah and the Bureau of Land Management, Salt Lake Field Office. Phase I of the project included surface inventory and documentation of archaeological sites in Skull Valley which is in central Tooele County, Utah. Phase II included surface mapping, collection, and geophysical survey of sites that will be impacted by the land exchange. Phase III is planned for next year and CHC will excavate sites that were mapped during Phase II.
